"We had a last minute change of plans and I needed to find suitable accommodation for my family of 4. I came across the 'Garden House' in my initial search and compared 5 other similar solutions. None measured up and that was only based on the images. The pictures undersold the property, utterly. The Garden House became a serendipitous highlight of our trip to Edinburgh. "An excellent property to rent outside of Edinburgh. Perfect for dogs and families. The cottage was warm and well lit when we arrived and the fireplace was already prepped with a basket full of logs. The manager of the property was very friendly and she came over to introduce herself and check we had everything we needed. Strongly recommend and will be going back."

"Good for family (2 adults, 4 kids). Good location, 30 minute walk or 10-15 minute bus ride to the city centre. Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. Overall good, would stay again. "

"The weather wasn’t in our favor but it didn’t matter as the cottage was the perfect place to spend a rainy day. The home was far more spacious than the photos conveyed. We had plenty of room for our group of five. With a well fitted out kitchen, a nice supply of board games, and a cozy fire in the wood stove, everyone enjoyed themselves. Hopefully, we will be able to take advantage of the lovely enclosed private garden on a future visit."

"The location of Orwell Cottage couldn’t be more perfect. There are many great restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries and coffee shops right in the neighborhood. The Haymarket bus, train, tram hub is a five minute walk and getting to the city historic center is a doable walk. The Victorian elements of the cottage are unique and undeniable. When this unit was first rented it would be five star for any guest. This rental is showing quite a bit of wear which diminishes the experience. I will only...

"The hotel is well located, all attractions.and historical buildings are very close. There were two things that can be improved 1. There was not cold water in twh bath 2. When you close the door of your room, you need to certify that it could.not be opened without the key. Probably doors are.not well configurated. Nothing was lost. In general, a very good hotel, definitely we would come back on our next visit. "
