"The accommodation was perfect, really spacious and clean. Great parking. Modern and fresh decor. Close to Clumber Park, which was the reason we stopped there. The only negative thing was that the shower was luke warm, I mentioned this to a neighboring visitor who said hers was the same. I was only there for 2 nights so coped but it wasn't pleasant as I felt cold in the shower. It has been capped at that temp so needs upping a bit to make a more pleasurable experience for guests. "Fabulous value for the size of room.We have stayed here many times when visiting family in Retford. Our room this time was a little disappointing compared to all the other rooms we stayed in.The bed was a double but we only had a single wardrobe and 5 hangers.Usually there is ample wardrobe space and a seating area.I will definitely return but will ask for the rooms we've had on previous visits. It is a very comfortable place to stsy and handy for walking into town."

"The hotel use to be a police station,so the building has lots of character. It is lacking in chef so the breakfast was limited however adequate. The room was nice and the bed was comfy even if outdated. "

"Do not stay here. Found hairs in beds, questionable stains on sheets, can’t explain the smell. Marks on walls, cracks in plaster that were more than hairline and damage everywhere. Needs refurbishing!"

"The staff were helpful at check-in. I had a double room. The bed was comfortable. Each guest got a biscuit and square of chocolate. There was a selection of teas, coffee bags and hot chocolate. There was an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe. The room was very warm. There was an issue with the cleaning. There was hair in the bath and the wall mirror in the bedroom was dirty. "No shower gel or soap in the bathroom. House keeping should check on the bottles of gel everyday. Room service was ok, but I won’t come back. I phoned front desk and house keeping numbers for several minutes and no one ever answer. Poor service ! "
