"Car park a treck if you have items to carry. Digital key code would not work setting alarm off. Told to wait 45 mins for someone to come and re set until she remembered emergency key in cupboard in hallway. Flat lovely inside however bathroom lock was broken and no cold water coming through the shower scalding us. Reported but nonresponse. Fans on and off from building next door. When going out in the morning seeing the entrance in daylight was horrible. Bins and just not a safe looking place....

"This stay at Blackthorn went above and beyond what I needed - some time and space for myself to write. In the comfort and peace of this hut in this location, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, unheard of in my everyday busy life at home! The hut was perfect, the bed extremely comfortable with high-quality linens and duvet/pillows. Kitchen very well-supplied with everything I needed (and more). The bathroom was great too, shower a little on the less-powerful side, but I expected that seeing...

"A wonderful place to stay! Everything was very nice and was also as depicted. It also was a great location; there are many restaurants, stores, etc. close by and easy access to transportation for our many sojourns into Oxford. "What a lovely place to stay! Watching the horses coming and going a bonus. Such a beautiful quirky cottage. Clean, comfy and spacious for a couple and our two dogs. The hot tub was a lovely treat after long dog walks.. Hook Norton and Swalcliffe visits a must. Pubs are so lovely and dog friendly. The land around the riding school great for the dogs too. Caroline the host very friendly a lovely lady. "

"Was told by Expedia that I had the property to myself but when I arrived I realised I was sharing with 3 other people. Property was supposedly called ‘the cottage’ but turns out this was next door’s place. Parking was basically none existent in the end as the other people had their car(s) on the very small driveway. Only things I can say were good was that the WiFi was a decent speed considering how rural the area was, and the bed was very comfortable."

"A delightful property! I stayed for two months from June-August with my golden retriever. The cottage was everything as advertised, and was perfect for my needs. I can absolutely recommend this property for singles or couples, with or without a dog. The village has two delightful pubs/restaurants and the village store can accommodate immediate needs. It was everything I hoped for in a Cotswold Summer."

"We arrived a little early and greeted by Pauline who is extremely welcoming and friendly. Our suite (Tailors) was ready and we were able to check in. Everything was immaculate, including the lovely garden which has plenty of seating. Thoughtful provision of milk, orange juice, water, biscuits plus teas and coffee was very welcome after a long journey. Location to the characterful town of Woodstock is perfect, just a few minutes stroll and you are amongst the shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants....
