Village View Vista at Ferrinway (#26) is our 2-bed, 2-bath condo that provides optimal access to mountain biking on local trails, Fort Lewis College, riding the Durango Train or visiting Mesa Verde National Park, playing golf, and hiking.

Inside the two-level home, is a large, open living room with flat screen TV and wood burning fireplace. Adjacent to the living room is the dining room with a table for six. The nearby kitchen includes new appliances and countertops, with dinnerware, cookware and utensils. There are window AC units in the summer months. Outside is a balcony with outdoor furniture, views surrounding landscaping, mature trees and foothills in the distance.  The balcony serves as the private entrance to the condo.

This property has Air Conditioning - window units.
Washer/Dryer inside your condo.
There are two flights of stairs leading up to this condo.
Please note, due to HOA regulations, this unit, and all of the units at Ferringway DO NOT allow pets.

AMENITIES: The Ferringway Townhomes offers a shared hot tub and heated swimming pool for guest use. The pool deck has plenty of room for lounging, as well as multiple gas grills and outdoor dining space without having to leave the grounds.  There is easy access to City Open Space hiking and mountain biking trails behind this property. THE POOL IS OPEN APPX MEMORIAL WEEKEND TO END OF SEPTEMBER; HOT TUB IS OPEN YEAR-ROUND.

LOCATION: Ferringway is just a 5-minuts drive to historic downtown Durango and the Durango Train, plus restaurants, shops and entertainment.   Driving about 30 minutes to the north takes you to Purgatory Ski Resort and the high San Juan Mountains.  Mesa Verde National Park, a noted World Heritage Site, is about a 40-minute drive to the West.  Hillcrest Golf Club is a five-minute drive from this condo, as is the main campus of Fort Lewis College. Whether visiting Durango for skiing, summer Rocky Mountain adventures, attending a wedding, graduation at Fort Lewis College, riding the Durango Train or visiting Mesa Verde National Park, playing golf, hiking and mountain biking on local trails, this Durango townhome at Ferringway is a great place to stay!

Ferringway Condo

The condo was alright. The second night during rain, a leak from the hallway light fixture occurred. The management was responsive to our correspondence but repair didn't occur as we were told the repair company for the HOA only responded during the week. The condo was moderately appointed in terms of kitchen utensils, pots, pans, etc. The location was relatively convenient to Durango Main Street but the condominium complex appeared a bit run down from the exterior.

Durango adventure

This was our third time to Durango and my cousin’s first time from Tennessee. The Durango Silverton train trip never disappoints! Just remember to dress warm as it is always colder when you get there! So many good places to eat and fun shops to explore. Lots of hiking and biking trains. Fun place to visit! The colors were amazing too!!

8th Grade Ski Trip

We were there to join our daughter/sister on a ski trip to Purgatory. I loved the location as it was close to fun places to eat and a college. On a morning walk, I saw a family of deer feeding on the property. The only thing that could have made this stay better was if the hot tub was not frozen over. Not too much you can do about that. Excellent stay and I would highly recommend this to anyone staying in Durango.

cozy cabin condo

I visit my daughter several times a year at Fort Lewis college and this is the perfect location. Minutes from the campus as well as downtown. The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. We especially enjoyed the owners providing firewood during the winter which made for a perfect cozy fire to enjoy football games.

The only surprise were the 3 flights of steps to the condo. My cousin had a very heavy suitcase and it was a chore to haul it up....we are almost 70 and not as strong as we used to be. Otherwise, it was a good stay. Thanks much

Good location and roomy

Property was well kept and clean. We arrived when temperature was 91 degrees so the townhome was warm. We turned on several plug in fans and opened the windows after sunset. One stand up fan was broken and one bed side lamp didn’t work or needed a light bulb. We would, however, probably stay there again during cooler temperatures.

Quiet Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was quiet, clean and convenient to downtown. The upstairs area wasn’t as cool as we would have liked. The ceiling fan and floor fan helped a lot to keep the temperature manageable. We’ll Definitely stay here again.

Excellent condo

This unit is well maintained, well-equipped and very comfortable. Our group consisted of 3 adult siblings, and everyone was impressed with the property. The unit provided ample space and everything we needed. The location was sufficiently close to downtown Durango, which we reached by a short drive. The neighborhood was very quiet. The property manager reached out to us on our second day to ensure we were satisfied with everything. We'd definitely stay here again when we return to Durango.

Too many stairs

3 flights of stairs plus two more to the bedroom loft. Asked for some hand towels, never came. Property is pretty worn…like an old ski lodge (ceiling fan not properly installed, loft bathroom pretty old, very uncomfortable first night in loft even with fans and open window. Would have been nice to have it cooled down for our arrival, no sleep that night! Certainly didn’t need the fleece bedspread and blanket…wonder if they ever get sanitizer after each stay! Would not recommend.

Great location, quiet

This was our first trip to Durango and loved it. The condo suited our needs - was quiet, had all the amenities, and was a short drive to downtown, to get on the highway to travel, etc. What kept me from giving it 5 stars is a few things. First, the place could use some upgrades. The mattresses were not in the best shape, the pillows were very old and the furniture was not very comfy. Not a HUGE deal since our goal was to not be in the condo much but husband left with his back aching after sleeping on a lumpy mattress. Also the place had kind of an “old” smell. Not sure if from furniture or what but every time we returned, it had a stench. Reminded me of my grandparents house. My guess it’s from just the place needing updates. Again- place was very very clean - ideal for couples or maybe a small family. Second - the place is much smaller than photos show. Enough room for us and our stuff but we were definitely on top of one another. One thing to note: the upstairs bedroom is more of a loft and the wall only goes up about 1/2way to look down on the living room.

Home base

We stayed for two nights and it was very comfortable. As others have mentioned, the home is dated but has everything you need. The only issue we had a the main floor bedroom AC unit was loud which made it difficult for my wife to sleep, but that could be easily fixed with a replacement. All in all, would stay here again.
