Country Cabin- Nature preserve,Hiking, Skiing, fishing, swimming & pet friendly

This quiet country cabin is located on two private acres adjacent to the Kinderhook Creek Nature preserve. There is a private trail from the property to the preserve that will lead you through the beautiful woods and to the Kinderhook Creek where you can have a picnic, do some fishing, swimming and enjoy the serenity of your natural surroundings. The private 2 acre lot has a fire pit, picnic area, outhouse, gardens and large yard for play and games. An outdoor grill and patio table is located on the deck so you and your family can enjoy meals outside. During the winter months you can enjoy your meals in the dinning room where you can warm up in front of the cozy fireplace. Or enjoy some family time in the entertainment room where you can relax on the large sofa and watch movies in front of a fire, play cards or games at the card table, or try your hand at darts or foosball. Local attractions include the Lebanon Valley Speedway (3 miles), Ski Resorts: Jiminy Peak (7 mi) Bosquet (13 mi) Butternut (27 mi) Catamount (28 mi) Berkshire East (28 mi) Mount Snow (38 mi) Otis Ridge (31 mi), The beautiful Berkshires (14 mi) Tanglewood Music Venue (16 mi) Albany, NY (23 mi) SPAC, Saratoga Raceway and Casino (40 mi) wineries, breweries and dispensaries as close as (5 mi) and so much more.

A great place to stay
My friends and I stayed here, and we very much enjoyed a quiet place to stay at the end of the day. We were racing nearby at the Dragway for a few days, the location was great. The deer that visited in the yard was a nice touch. It's also a nice place to take in the sunrise from the deck with a coffee or two. We would definitely stay here again.

East Nassau summer get away
We just spent four weeks at the Country Cabin. The cabin is charming. The hostess was very gracious. I appreciated her checking on us to make sure everything was satisfactory. The cabin is very cute, and accommodated our group of 4 very well. The basement room stayed cool, even without air conditioning. Loved the property, it was nice to walk around and fun to find a secret private entrance to the nature preserve. We appreciate the nice special touches. Did I mention hummingbirds?

The landscape is exceptional. The house is well appointed it had everything one would need. It is serene and peaceful. The highlight of our trip was hiking in the woods and swimming and fishing in Kinderhook Creek.

Convenient, cozy cabin
Only 30 minutes from Tanglewood Music Center, Stockbridge MA, and Albany NY, this cabin in East Nassau a great location for a summer getaway to this region. The cabin is neat and clean, the kitchen sufficiently equipped for preparing and eating meals in. For hot days there is air conditioning. The cabin sleeps six very comfortably. We took full advantage of the porch to enjoy the lovely surroundings - the property is well kept, very quiet, a very relaxed spot. We are hikers so were pleased we had several options very close by for some easy rambles over the weekend - Kinderhook Creek Preserve and the Albert Family Forest are great places to walk. This cabin was the perfect spot for our group of friends to gather for a weekend at Tanglewood, some time walking in nature together and catching up. Justine was the perfect host. Her place is a gem. We will definitely be back.

Cozy Cabin Weekend Getaway
The inside of the house was clean and very cozy! The kitchen was well equipped and the dart board in the basement was a fun touch! The outside of the cabin was well kept and secluded from neighbors. Steps away from the property was the nature preserve! We walked several of the trails and found a picnic table by the creek to stop and have lunch. The location of the cabin was perfect! We saw a concert in downtown Albany and it was roughly 30 minutes from the Cabin. This cabin was perfect for us as we were able to enjoy a quiet weekend while still being close enough to drive into the city! Thank you Justine for sharing your home with us !!

Another great getaway!
This was our second trip here, all three of us needed a break from work and life and since this place is so homey, it feels comfortable, we decided to go back. Its far enough away from ruckus but there's so much food and entertainment only 25 minutes away so it was perfect!

Great Getaway for Anniversary
The cabin was wonderful--- perfect for our 15 year wedding anniversary. Justine left out a bottle of champagne and 2 glasses for us upon our arrival! Thoughtful touch! The cabin is on a peaceful road. We enjoyed eating our breakfast on the deck. We went for a hike nearby and the scenery was gorgeous. We are looking forward to staying again in the future. Amazing house
We were greeted with a lovely home that was clean and inviting. The neighborhood was extremely nice and welcoming during our 2 day stay. The nearby hiking trail was stunning and definitely worth checking out. The owner was extremely helpful with our quedtions and went above and beyond to help out the best they could!

Amazing quiet location!
The location is fantastic so peaceful and quiet beautiful surroundings! The cabin is adorable and very well equipped! Everything you could possibly need is there. Two things we think a reclining sofa would be great in the living area! No where to rest your feet and maybe some small end tables to place a drink.. also memory foam mattresses would be great nothing crazy you can buy good ones at even Big Lots! Bed in a box.. the spring mattresses are bouncy.. but overall this place is just amazing the local produce, honey, maple syrup etc. we would definitely return! Communication was outstanding! And our toy poodle loved the big yard! Pet friendly is so nice.. thank you for everything we fell in love with east NY and Albany is a beautiful clean city worth a visit!

Wedding trip
My niece was getting married in a town close to the country cabin and we wanted to bring our dogs. The cabin is lovely and in a quiet neighborhood and the kinderhook preserve is in your backyard. We wish we had more time to explore, so we will hopefully make it back soon!

Beautiful Getaway
I was excited seeing pictures but it doesn't do the cabin justice. Its super roomy, aborably decorated and very cozy. It's in a great part of the area, far enough from the busy areas to be peaceful but close enough for adventures. Its only 30 mins from Albany, its surrounded by trails and little farms. We saw a ton of deer and groundhogs! It was the perfect place to relax!

The cabin was super cute, very clean, and well stocked. Perfect location for Jiminy Peak, breweries, and MA dispensaries. Communication with Janine was excellent and she checked I. To ensure we had everything we could need or want. Everyone had a great time!

Cozy, secluded cabin
It was a blast to reconnect with some friends at this property. The cabin is decorated to make you feel right at home and was spotless when we arrived. There's a beautiful deck to sit out on and grill and just enjoy the peace and quiet. The host Justine is super accommodating and was helpful all through our stay.
