Melissa's Farmstead Cottage

We welcome you to come enjoy a quite and relaxing stay in our little cottage, on the beautiful forty-two acres . Enjoy a glass of wine on the front porch and watch the sun set over five acres of estate grapevines. Then unwind, or cook up a feast in the full kitchen. We invite you to go out side and explore the wildlife and gorgeous views, right here in the heart of the Texas Hill Country.

The cottage encompasses a large open concept of a living room, with attached dining area, and kitchen. It has a beautiful full bath, and a King sized bed in the private bedroom. The cottage also sports a large closet and washer and dryer setup.

Great Cabin in a Beautiful Location
We loved Melissa’s Farmstead cabin. We made Thanksgiving dinner there in their well-stocked kitchen. The location is great, very pretty vineyard with wildlife, but vet close to town. I can’t wait until their tasting room opens!

Quaint Country Cottage
We enjoyed our stay away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Crisp cotton sheets and a comfortable mattress made for a good night’s sleep. Fresh, clean bath towels were ample, hot showers and cold a/c were nice, too. The kitchen was well equipped and the full-sized washer and dryer was an added bonus. The front porch swing was relaxing while we watched the deer roam the property. The drive from town was about 5 minutes. If using google maps, it will take you a driveway too far. The only downside was that we had no internet service our entire stay (Friday to Monday). We communicated the outage with owner within half an hour of arrival and issue was never addressed.

Absolutely Perfect!!
We came to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary with our 7 month old. The cottage was absolutely perfect for our little trio with sweet mornings on the porch having humming birds greet us to quiet evenings watching the deer in the field. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us and hope to be back in the future!!

Great Property
This property has charm and visual appeal from the minute you begin the drive on to the ranch. The property was clean and fresh, and very well appointed. The attention to detail and pride of ownership are evident. The location is just far enough from town to feel private and secluded, and just close enough to town to make it super easy to come and go from Fredericksburg. We would definitely stay here again!

Melissa’s Farmstead Cottage = Perfection
The cottage was adorable and the perfect size for our family of 3! The extra little touches provided by hosts were great from the bottle of wine to the cheese board to the Texas pecan coffee. It was a short distance from Main Street Fredericksburg so you were able to enjoy all the town has to offer while getting away from the hustle and bustle so you could enjoy the quiet while taking in the beautiful night sky. Definitely will keep on our list of places to stay if plan a return trip.

Father Son Trip
This is an amazing place to stay and Tyler is a great host. We originally booked this for a birthday weekend for my wife and I. After having a sick kid it turned into a father son trip that my son had been asking to go on. The property is amazing. Close enough to town but far enough out to enjoy the country. We’d definitely stay again.

Wonderful Experience
This is certainly the best example of a B&B you will find. Wine, snacks, water and muffins. And a surprise charcuterie board in the fridge. So clean, comfortable and decorated perfectly. We will be back!!

Impressive
Starting with the drive up the to the cottage, the property was well maintained and inviting. The cottage was very clean and we wanted for nothing. Comfortable and well thought out with all the amenities of home. A bonus to our stay was that every evening we were visited by 10 to 15 deer grazing on the front lawn. We will surely be staying here in the future.

A true gem
This is a fabulous property just outside of town, and the owners do a fabulous job with all the little details to make you feel right at home. It's a beautiful property that does a good job of balancing in town and relaxing, in the country sort of vibe. Loved it! We did have a situation occur while we were there where we had to contact the owners, and they were there within 15 minutes which was really appreciated, and everything was sorted, so just wanted to highlight that the property owners are really helpful! All in all, would definitely book this place again. It was lovely.

Perfect Cottage!
We greatly enjoyed our week at this quaint cottage! Quiet, relaxing, and comfortable place. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the kitchen and living room have everything you need. Sunsets from the daybed swing on the front porch were remarkable! We even had a Welcome charcuterie board, a bottle of wine, and grocery staples awaiting us when we arrived! Perfect weekend getaway location!
We LOVED the property! The front porch swing bed was probably our favorite feature… sitting outside, watching the sunset, enjoying the resident kitty cats… it was wonderful. The decor is on point with the original features of the cottage. So welcoming with the well stocked kitchen and snacks. The Texas Pecan coffee was so good that we picked some up on Main Street to bring home. Cannot wait to visit again!

Super cute, huge potential
Pros: close to town, semi private, full kitchen with dishwasher, large bath/shower, comfy bed. Cons: spotty tv connection, could use better window coverings in the den space for sunlight, better housekeeping would be beneficial- common touch surfaces weren’t totally clean, layer of dust on nightstands and most other surfaces, cobwebs and dead bugs all throughout, inside the fridge could use some attention as well- husband found some *body* hairs, old leaked liquids. I always bring my own cleaning wipes and went through when we first arrived, but I understand most people don’t, so a little more attention would be awesome. That being said, the cabin is so super cute and has a lot of potential. It’s far enough out of town for seeing a lot of wildlife and peaceful evenings but close enough to run in for dinner and shopping. We would stay again if it were available and a tad cleaner :)
