"Our stay at Biggin Hall was generally good. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful without being ingratiating. Our room was comfortable and clean, but a little tired in parts and could have done with some TLC, more so in the bathroom than in the bedroom. The cold tap on the washbasin was difficult to turn fully off and the whole washbasin could do with updating to a more modern fitment with a mixer tap. "Owners and staff were welcoming and the room was spacious, full facilities, warm. Approx 9 miles from Buxton, a rural but convenient for access. Adjacent to a main road, but no disturbances for sleep with the rooms to the rear of the pub. Enjoyed the well presented food. Lovely fish & chips. Slight issue over lasagne, quickly remedied/replaced. Excellent cooked breakfast. Good quality ingredients. Very good value, would recommend and probably return if in area again."

"Lovely stay. The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Vicky was always on hand when needed and communication was great - super quick! Loved coming outside to the chickens and seeing the horses when we arrived. We had a really nice stay and would definitely recommend/return!"

"Lovely one night stay, hotel is modern clean and has large rooms. The bar area is well laid out. We didn’t eat, but due to its location if you need a meal you will likely end up eating there. Only one bad point is that the pillows were feather and soon went flat, I do wish hotels would have a synthetic standby pillow that does not go flat. Other than that we really enjoyed it."
