"Just a short walk up the hill from Mahone Bay's Main Street is a leafy enclave of historic houses. This is the location of Pam and Dave's comfortable and stylish home, where French doors lead from the kitchen to a private deck enclosed by shrubs and trees. Our hosts were easy to communicate with and very helpful."

"While planning our trip, we narrowed our choice to two locations in the area both listed “with an ocean view”. We chose The Lookout Cottage because the house was so lovely and it indeed is. However, it is a bay view which is nice, it is just we expected an ocean view as listed in the “Private, ocean view home” There is a sliver of an ocean view but obscured by another house. In all of the photos online, a neighboring house is not shown. Although a lot or so away, the backside including trash...

"The property is beautiful. There were hiccups with key not being in lockbox, car having no gas for 1st day of vacation and then totally broke down when we had to transport family & belongings to Ferry but homeowner was quick to respond to everything and locals provided transport. Also property manager changed hands and we were not aware of this. Stressful start and finale but inbetween was great! This stuff happens!"

"We recently had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful property for 2 weeks in late April 2024. Our goal was to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. The weather was fantastic, don't be afraid to visit in April, the days were sunny and cool, and when it rained the house was a sanctuary, with a wood stove and 360 degree windows to enjoy the view of the ocean, sunset and sunrise unobstructed by other properties. Perfect to read, play games and cook. Our host Mont, was so helpful, always...
