"Well laid out room. Perfect for my wife and I. Could do with more tea bags and milk and sugar but, thats a personal thing. Very comfy nights sleep and good choice of breakfasts to choose from. Courteous staff and attentive. Handy having a Toby Carvery opposite too."

"First time staying and we were impressed. Rooms are spacious and clean. Having a bath in our family room would have been better for our younger children. The receptionist was very helpful, welcoming and friendly! The restaurant food was good. The breakfast was brilliant, lots of choice. Great for both adults and children. I would definitely recommend and would stay again. "

"Room was clean but damp patches in the bathroom ceiling with holes in it was not pleasant wardrobe was peeling and taps made terrible noise when you turned it on sink was cracked "

"A really good welcome and a free car park (once reg entered onto system at Reception). The double room was large and clean. As this is a heritage building, there is an impressively sloping - and creaking/squeaking - floor. Luckily, I couldn’t hear much from the function room below, and nothing from the bar. But a lot of noise from other room’s plumbing and doors slamming can be heard in the room. Plus there is light from under the main room door so it may not be fire-safe. I’d recommend...

"The room was as expected for the price we paid. Towels and bedding were good. A lovely view of the lake from our window. We were only there one night and just to sleep, so can't comment on other facilities."

"The man at reception was great but the accommodation was terrible: the e stayed in a room which looked like a coffin, found a bottle of something which looked like drugs, random coat hangers, so many drawers which contained screws, dirty shower which switched between hot and cold constantly…. The “sea view room” overlooked a flat roof and couldn’t view the sea… laundry was being done throughout the night which kept us awake. "

"My 5th time of staying here and a very different experience to all previous visits. I travel with for work so being able to work from the room is extremely important. I always choose to stay here as the rooms are clean, well proportioned and there is usually a desk or table and chair to work from. On this visit I was allocated Room 6. Although it is classed as a double room it was tiny (you would struggle with 2 people in there) There was a small dressing table but no chairs. Hardly any plug...

"Lovely room and facilities. Warm and friendly staff. The pub seems a popular place for locals to get together and therefore a great atmosphere. Ate in the restaurant on 2 nights and could not fault. Interesting menu"
