"The balcony is perfect! Early morning with coffee we saw 3 kings of monkeys, amazone, agouti.. the pool is perfect after the day out and from there we saw toucans and also scarlett macaw! The owner have several dogs and a cat and they are very friendly with everybody! We love that place and recommend it! Alberto and Milena are great hosts! "

"From initial reservation to pre-trip activity planning, to check-in and throughout our entire stay, Casa Calma was an outstanding experience all around. We opted for the private chef for all of our dinners and this turned out to be a great move. The chef offered an expansive and fresh menu—and the flexibility to change plans when we caught a mahi mahi. The house is very clean, secure and a great place to watch wildlife in the jungle. Concierge service is a huge value. Will definitely come back!"

"Though we had a nice stay, it should be noted there are many different sets of stairs up and down to kitchen entry bedrooms lower apt. Somewhat difficult for seniors. The property is in need of updating and repairs. Sofa and outdoor cushions Need to be replaced. Outdoor furniture needs help. Safe did not work. Ice maker did not work. The area and location is beautiful and safe. We had a lovely time."

"We met family (12 people) for a week of adventure in Costa Rica. Alex was a wonderful host and arranged all transportation, excursions and chef prepared meals. The house suited our needs perfectly with large common areas to accommodate all of us. The bedrooms provided private space for each couple/family unit. Small grocery and cafe just a short walk away. "La Casa Roja was everything we hoped for and exactly as presented. We loved watching the monkeys daily right off the living room balcony. We even spotted a sloth and enjoyed checking on him daily. We had a chef come in one night for supper and recommend trying that a least once. Wai was extremely helpful for all of our needs and requests. We were close to some excellent restaurants and enjoyed the area tremendously. "

"This VRBO is outstanding. Laura keeps everything so clean, and even does your laundry if needed. Cristian was good at helping get us settled in and helped with dinner arrangements our first night when we were all so tired - much appreciated. Would highly recommend staying here. Just follow the advice and get. 4 wheel drice vehicle if you have your own car!"

"My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon in Costa Rica and it was absolutely perfect! This is by far the best VRBO we have ever come across when traveling. Everything was top notch and very much exceeded ALL of our expectations! "This is an incredible property! Probably the best house we have ever stayed in and we are a well traveled group! We comfortably enjoyed the house with three generations of our family! The pool and outdoor shower are amazing. We took advantage of zip lining, massages at the home, and a chef who comes in to make dinner (a must do!)...all set up by Wai, who is responsive and lovely to work with! You can just sit at the house and watch wildlife all day...toucans, Scarlet Macaws, monkeys. Make...

"We had a great time at this beautiful house in the heart of the jungle in Manuel Antonio. Close to beach and restaurants. Very clean, safe and comfortable. Plenty of wild life to see from the house. Christian the property manager was very helpful and promptly to respond. Would definitely stay here again"

"This was a multi level house nestled in a lovely community with a great view of the ocean. House was spotless and housekeepers were very good at their job. The chef was a treat and delighted us each day with his talents for breakfast and dinner. I give this house an below than average rating, as it was very difficult to enjoy all this, due to the noise we experienced from 5:45AM til 6PM each day even on Sunday, as a new house was being built next door. Laying out by the pool was not relaxing....
