It was the hardest experience we have ever had.
Since we arrived, the reception wasn't warm, we spent more than 1.5 hours running between the booking office and the reception counter because of the wrong booking information, in order to get family rooms. Then after reaching the rooms, one was acceptable for us but the 2nd was below expectations, as no sofa , no bad for a 3rd member of a family.
The 1st night I slept on the floor.
On Friday afternoon, the hotel caught fire and the Civil Defense intervened to save the situation, thanks for God, there were no human casualties.
We spent the rest of the day, outside the hotel. Then after sunset the civil defense give his report and ordered to evacuate the hotel to save human lives and avoid any risk of a new fire.
Hajj and Umrah Committee started evacuating the hotel guests to other hotels, where still having vacancies، even they downgraded to 3 & 4 Star hotels in order to find them a place to sleep for that night
As it was high season, most of the hotels were fully booked and many guests spent their night sleeping in the lobbies.
We slept badly , waiting for the sunrise to prepare ourselves to return to our city Riyadh.
