"Great staff and breakfast, just evelater only one not enough"

"The Southampton Voco is conveniently located close to the cruise port, shopping areas, and several scenic attractions in Southampton. Although the hotel is busy, the staff are always available, friendly, and happy to answer questions or provide assistance. The breakfast buffet is excellent, offering a great selection of options to start the day. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and the beds are very comfortable, ensuring a relaxing stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone...

"Overpriced hotel with terrible soft, spongy mattresses"

"Selected this spot as we were sailing out on a cruise the next day. Great location, staff set up a taxi for our group, knew what port/platform we needed to be at (just by saying our cruise line.) They were friendly and informative. Hotel is perfectly located beside a shopping mall which allowed us to do a little shopping before leaving and gather some last minute items. Would recommend this property and hope to return in the near future."

"Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships."

"Leonardo at Charlotte place was an excellent choice pre cruise. Ideally located. The staff at reception were great at our check in and were extremely helpful with our luggage storage at check out and on departure to the cruise port. This will be our hotel of choice when cruising from Southampton in the future"

"What a charming boutique property. Just perfect for a pre cruise stay. The staff is amazing as well as the breakfast and dinner. The location is excellent for walking. Would highly recommend a stay at the White Star Tavern & Hotel."

"The rooms are now really tired and neglected and not worth the £170 price per night, compared to other local hotels ive stayed in. The downstairs communal areas are good, despite the greedy £10 per wineglass, as are the staff. Its the bedrooms- woodchip walls, broken botched multiple wood/paint surfaces, mouldy bathroom and bare carpets-that need a complete renovation. Upstairs communal carpet is like something from The Shining movie. Not recommended."

"We pre booked and paid for dinner only to find at check in that dinner wasn’t available and we had been booked at a pub 10 minutes away by car. We didn’t want to drive again we wanted to eat and relax after a day of travel. As there wasn’t an alternative we didn’t go to the pub where the main course was fine but not what we wanted. Had we been informed that dinner wasn’t available we would have booked elsewhere."

"The room was spacious and clean although there was a noticeable chip out of the wardrobe beading. The HarBar6th could have been cleaner a lot of crumbs trapped between the tile top and glass. Lunch in the Jetty restaurant was good, but the table was not cleared at the completion of dessert course and no tea or coffee offered. Somewhat disappointing for a 5 star hotel."

"Plus points , within walking distance of the ferry lots of shops, bars, restaurants et cetera. Food in the bar a bit hit and miss but some stuff very nice. Quite fairly priced, clean good quality towels, even though I would say any at level cleanliness is a must and a basic., missing at this property. Negative points, very tired and dirty decor, lots of narrow steep flights of stairs, no wardrobe, no offer of help to carry bags up the flights of stairs when shown to you're room ,even though it...
