Peaceful Getaway
We were looking for a place that was convenient to Mobile & Dauphin Island. This was a great location with a beautiful setting on a canal leading into Fowl River. We really enjoyed using the crab traps and just listening to all of the birds while drinking coffee on the back porch. Ken & Sheila were fabulous hosts and even offered to mail back some clothing we accidentally left behind.

Mobile Visit by the River
Absolutely beautiful property with water access. Lovely home with everything you could wish. Ken was a magnificent host. My one regret is we sid not have a chance to invite him for dinner. I hope to be able to rent the next time we visit Mobile, and surely we can enjoy Ken's company then.

Quite and peaceful
The house was clean, and felt comfortable. It waa very quite, we rested well. Not far from the Dolphin Island beach. There really wasn't many places to eat at. Good thing is you have a full size kitchen, with all the dishes you may need. We would recommend this place to rest and relax.

Great house and location!
We loved staying here for our trip! It was perfect as far as location to both dauphin island but then access to other areas like mobile or Mississippi! The house is so clean and very well stocked. Mr Ken was gracious enough to let us have a grocery delivery and early check in! Very wonderful host! Thank you again for letting us use your house!

Enjoyed everything about it.
Nice quiet community and convenient to all activities. We brought our pontoon, access to the river and bay right there. Short drive to Bellengrath, the beach and 20 minutes from downtown.Two thumbs up! We will return.

Best place we have stayed in our travels.
We had the pleasure of meeting both Mr. Ken and Ms. Shelia. They were both such nice and wonderful hosts. The house is much bigger than pictures show. The master bed sleep great compared to other places we have stayed. I actually could sleep when in other homes I couldn’t. The house had everything we needed and in a quiet neighborhood. Close to the beaches and marina if you are planning a fishing trip. The kids took the kayak’s out on the river behind the house and caught a few bass. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.

Work trip turned into a fabulous getaway
My husband and I fell in love with this house on a work trip that turned into being a fabulous little getaway. The owner, Ken, greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour of the house and explain how to use some of the amenities. The house was clean, well kept, and is situated on a fabulous little Inlet from the bay. The owner provided kayaks for us to enjoy and we were able to fish in between the rainy days. We would most definitely come back to stay and are actually planning to do so very soon. Would 1010 recommend for anyone looking for a property to rent in that area.

The house was just as listed. Ken was very helpful and close by. I only caught 1 small fish in the canal behind the house, but that was probably fisherman error.

Owner is amazing
The house is great and I felt like I could live there in retirement. We really enjoyed the fishing and stargazing. The owner is absolutely outstanding and helped us with all of our questions. The gas stove works really well and our kids loved the kayaks. We hope to get an opportunity to stay again in the future!
