Great little house
Loved this place. Very quirky with lots of interesting curios. It was well equipped with every convenience and gadget you could think of. 10 minute walk into town. Lovely back yard dining area and porch at the front. Great WiFi. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond to any messages.

The best "WOW" stay ever!
We stay at the "WOW" cottage every year in October for the arts and craft festival in downtown Mt. Dora. The house is amazingly decorated with beautiful art of all mediums. The cottage is fully stocked with everything you could need from kitchen items to all household needs. It is clean, comfortable, and inviting. We love sitting on the front porch and having a BBQ in the back yard. The location is perfect for walking into quaint downtown. The local restaurants have a variety of offers and great shopping. We look forward to this stay every year. Thank you Liz and Lee for your warm hospitality.

Property and furnishings were amazing. Exceeded my expectations - probably the best VRBO experience we have had. Location is walking distance from the Town. The host went above and beyond. Cant say enough good things about this WOW cottage! We will be back for a longer stay next time!

The BEST!
This place is so much more than a cottage! Once inside you feel like you've stepped into a true vacation home, stocked with anything you could possibly need. Quirky and fun! The Master bedroom and sitting room made you feel like Royalty. The hosts have a spirit of excellence and couldn't be more attentive. I'm so grateful we chose the WOW Cottage to celebrate our 45th Anniversary week! If we ever return to Mt Dora we will definitely be returning to this treasure!

The cottage lives up to it's name
Stayed for two nights and really loved the property. Very clear communication made check-in a breeze. The kitchen is very well equipped and the assortment of musical instruments brought out our creative side. Location doesn't get better. We'll definitely be back again!

The WOW cottage was exceptional!! We were in town for the Beach Volleyball national championships in Tavares. The cottage could not have been any better. It was fantastic!! Highly recommend it to anyone!!

A month in Mt. Dora
We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful, quaint town of Mt. Dora. Walking to the town center was easy from our cottage. Our hosts were more than accommodating. We r visiting again next winter. We will be staying at their Modern Tree House property next year.

The Wow Cottage
We so enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Unbelievable decor, and such special detail for every spot in the house. Every turn you make you find something new that makes this house very special. It is equipped with everything you need. The location is wonderful. It is five minutes from town and all the great restaurants. This is our second time staying in properties that are hosted by Liz and Lee and I must say every time has been an adventure. Thank you so much for a great time and we hope to see you again later this year.

This is truly a WOW cottage!!
We recently stayed at "The Cottage That Makes You Go, 'WOW!'" and I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations in every way possible. From the moment we arrived, to the day we sadly left the wows kept coming from this picturesque 1922 cottage nestled in the heart of Mount Dora's Historic District. This 1922 cottage seamlessly blends old-world charm with modern convenience. The owners, who also brought us "The Modern Tree House" and "The Fisherman's Cottage," have left no detail unattended. The cottage boasts state-of-the-art amenities, including motion-sensor trash cans and stainless steel appliances. Antique instruments, a 1904 baby grand piano, and Mackenzie-Childs art accents add character. Wooden shutters, original art, and quirky lighting make this meticulously restored home feel like a work of art. The bedrooms, including a master with en suite bathroom and a guest room with a stunning bed, are luxurious. The fully-stocked kitchen with granite countertops and Luna Garcia pottery is a delight. The living room features the most comfortable couch ever. Located within walking distance of Mount Dora's shops, cafes, parks, and more, this cottage offers the best of both worlds. WOW!!!!
This was our third year staying in a property hosted by Liz and Lee. The first year in the Fisherman’s Cottage and the following two years at the WOW Cottage. This should tell you all you need to know, however let me say a few details about these properties and hosts. Liz and Lee go above and beyond to welcome you like no others. The properties are spotless. The linens and towels are five star quality. The beds are very comfy. The kitchen is equipped beyond anything you will ever need. The decor is fun and interesting. We are delighted to discover new whimsical items each year! Oh, I almost forgot! The location is prefect. We park our cars and walk into town for great shopping, coffee, dinner, and cocktails. You will be very happy staying at The Wow Cottage or any other property hosted by Liz and Lee.

Family get together in Mt Dora
The “Wow cottage” was just fantastic!! Mt Dora is a delight to visit and the “Wow cottage” was simply the most wonderful place to stay. Our host could not have been anymore accommodating or nice. Everything we could have needed or wanted was there for us. The host (best one ever) provided all sorts of info about the area. Suggestions for restaurants and even updates on some incoming weather were sent to us during our stay. I can not even begin to describe the home. I simply do not have the words. There were delightful surprises in every corner and nook of the cottage. It was simply a wonderful adventure to explore and discover day after day. My family just loved our stay at the aptly named “Wow cottage”.

You GOTTA stay here!!!
This whole experience is "Wow!" This place is simply fantastic. And these hosts...truy fabulous! One wants for absolutely nothing once you've arrived at the WOW Cottage. You feel like a king and queen laid up in one of their outstanding beds or sprawled out on a 12 foot sumptuous velvet couch while listening to the baby grand that you yourself might even be playing! I don't want to use up my space listing all the ways you'll be amazed. And you will be. But mostly it brings out a feeling of joy. There's a surprise in every corner. Go stand in them. You'll be swinging your head in every direction. To me it's akin to being at an exotic bazaar, You'd need to be rained in for a entire week to appreciate all that is here. It is the ultimate Mount Dora accommodation offering a true old-fashioned Florida feel...with top of the line modern conviences, of couse. Pictures can't do this gem justice, but neither can words. You gotta experience this for yourself. How these hosts have managed to wrap luxury into a laid-back comfy, home feel encased in quirky, artsy fun I'll never know. Be prepared for the opportunity to exist in artwork. Wow. The only bad thing is that once you've been here your expectations of a Vrbo will never again be met. This was my 2nd visit and I was sadly unable to book at Christmas. Luckily they had the "Modern Tree House" available. (Yay I get to experience another of these amazing hosts properties! Yahoo!) Get in while you can. You GOTTA stay here!!!
