Close by is the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre and the Dylan Thomas Trail which allows visitors to follow in the footsteps of the best-loved poet in Wales, who once lived in the town. There is plenty to see and do to keep you occupied in New Quay alone, but there are miles of coastal paths to explore if you want to leave the car behind. The trail to Llangrannog is approximately 8 miles to the south or head north to Aberaeron on a 6-mile walk.
