"Lovely little guest house in a safe and well kept neighborhood ten minutes from downtown Hilo. Our host Raul was readily available to answer any questions. The property is very secure with a combination operated gate, although there was no indication that it was necessary. The property was clean and comfortable, and one could easily prepare meals there (we did) if tired of eating out (we were). We would stay here again. It’s the perfect size for a couple."

"We enjoyed this rental so much. It was clean, beautiful, organized and had all the details that make a stay extra enjoyable. The kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room were all well stocked, the beds and bedding were very comfortable, the yard was gorgeous, the view was spectacular, and the ease of getting in and out of the gated property was the cherry on top. The hosts were super welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we had a good experience. They were the best hosts we’ve ever had....

"The owners are very friendly, we let them know when we were coming and they greeted us when we arrived to walk through the property. In the morning we were greeted with spectacular views of Hilo and fresh bananas from the garden. This property is great for eco-conscious visitors, as the owners make great efforts to reduce their impact on the environment and teach visitors about their efforts as well. A few things to note: despite being about 3 miles outside of Hilo, it takes a solid 10-15...

"We loved our stay here. The home is very well stocked with extra towels and beach gear as well as plenty of dishes for cooking and a great gas grill under an outdoor gazebo. It is well located to all of downtown Hilo. It was a great homebase for trips to volcanoes national Park, Mayna kea, and several of the nearby waterfalls. It was built in 1916 and has no air conditioning, so be prepared for lots of open windows and outdoor noise plus early sunrise! We loved the change of pace!"

"Good location to take advantage of the Hilo area and the east side of the Big Island. Very clean and safe. Beautiful home. Had just about everything we needed during our stay. We would stay here again, book with confidence. Left us a nice welcome package and included a dozen fresh eggs. Very much appreciated. One little thing, there is a gas grill, but if you use it there is an additional cleaning fee. That should have been disclosed in the property description."

"Home near Hilo: peaceful, comfortable, well-maintained, very clean, and conveniently close to town. The house is equipped with all the desired comforts. The lanai was our favorite spot to enjoy morning coffee. Our stay was delightful. Highly recommended!"

"The home is stylish on the pictures, although in reality the place is really old and needs maintenance Carpets are stained and smelly, kitchen has insects defecation on almost all of then. Bathroom doesn't makes it better. The bed mattress are ok, but again bedsheets are stained and the rooms does not smell good. Everything is in bad shape and from the pictures you would not except it. We were very disappointed by this rental."

"My husband and I really enjoyed our stay! The lanai looking out over the ocean was exactly what I wanted. We enjoyed getting to watch the surfers down below. The daily breakfast was perfect and the coffee was delicious. We had the property to ourselves so it was very quiet and peaceful. My husband and I both agreed we will come back if we get the chance!"
