Chain of Ponds Cottage by Tiny Away is laid on the outskirts of Gympie region, just an hour and 10 minutes from Noosa Heads. Between two large ponds, the cottage offers a cozy stay with easy access to the Pomona Distillery, Rainbow Beach Surf Club, Mary Valley Rattler, Mothar Mountain Rock Pools, and Noosa National Park. Enjoy lush gardens, bushland, and a flat, grassy area ideal for relaxation.
A comfortable, 139-square-foot accommodation is set in one of the best tiny house rentals and serene locations with abundant natural bushland, easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower.

Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny house and surrounding areas. No access past signposted areas, this includes private residences and surrounds, machinery areas, workshops, horse stable areas, and livestock paddocks/yards. No feeding of any animals/livestock allowed.

Chain of Ponds Cottage by Tiny Away is situated in the outskirts of the Gympie region and just 1 hour and 10 minutes from Noosa Heads, offering a genuine taste of Australian countryside. This area is known for its big hearts and big spaces and is part of the Great Sandy Biosphere, surrounded by authentic Australian nature and wildlife.
What's more, the cottage sits between two large ponds, with flat grassy areas and lush gardens, providing a straightforward and comfortable retreat amidst the fertile hinterland of the Gympie region.
Our local recommendations:
- Pomona Distillery or Pomona Distilling Co. is a small-batch, boutique distillery, and bistro in the Noosa hinterland, specializing in artisan spirits.
- Rainbow Beach Surf Club is located on one of the Eastern Seaboard’s most prime pieces of real estate and overlooks the stunning white sand bay and rolling surf of Rainbow Beach.
- Mary Valley Rattler is a unique heritage steam train that has been lovingly restored and will transport you on a trip back through time through the scenic Mary Valley hinterland.
- Mothar Mountain Rock Pools offers a family-friendly spot with picnic tables, barbecues, water, and amenities. Enjoy cooling off in the pools amidst tall Eucalypts and rainforest, with gentle flowing water.

By public transport:
- No public transport is available directly from the property.
- Gympie North train station is 10 km away
- Gympie Taxi service is available.

- Smoking is not allowed on the property
- Gas and wood fire BBQ Grill is available
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- A constant supply of filtered rain water is available at no charge
- Please be advised that we have livestock (and noise) on our property
- Due to the nature of the property, wildlife may be present on the property.
- Keep a safe distance from pets and farm animals as they are easily agitated
- Don’t forget to close the windows and lock doors when leaving the tiny house/ property
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics (e.g., especially chargers)
- Mobile reception has weak signals for Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone; no signals for 2degrees and Spark
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Important note:
- Keep in mind that outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
