"We had - 14 of us, 11 adults three children - a really good week at Borgo Alto. The location is stunning and the space is great. As a former hotel, the accommodation is a bit odd for a big family group - with separate rooms in different buildings, but it worked well. The only thing it lacks is a comfortable lounge area. There is a dining room, but mainly you have to sit in hard chairs. But - even in the last week of October - we were able to spend most of our time outside. The setting of which...

"Gianpaolos Haus hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Der Pool ist riesig und super sauber. Die Terrasse ist riesengroß, man findet zu jeder Tageszeit ein sonniges oder auch schattiges Plätzchen.Bei unserer Ankunft begrüßte uns Gianpaolo und sein Sohn mit Wein, Wasser, Brot, Käse, Salami, Erfrischungsgetränken, Orangen und Zitronen und den obligatorischen Biscotti. Sehr nett und aufmerksam nach einer langen Reise.Kleines Manko: die Dusche im oberen Bad lief nicht gut ab, dies wird aber behoben."

"The house is very cosy, in a beautiful garden with a pool and stunning views, set among pistachio fields. The owners are wonderful people and very welcoming. The house is about 1 hour from Catania, half a hour from Siracusa and Noto, and maybe 15 minutes to the closest beach. We did day trips in the morning and then relaxed by the pool in the afternoon. However, people that are not used to driving might find the 10 minute drive up curvy and narrow roads challenging."
