"Casa Makai is a beautiful property with an incredible ocean/jungle view & very comfortable furnishings. The filtered water system was a treat, allowing us to fill our water bottles and drink directly from the tap, reducing unnecessary plastic waste. It is secured behind a private gate & monitored overnight by an on-sight security guard, (which didn't seem necessary as everyone in town was exceptionally kind and trustworthy). Josefina, the property manager, went above and beyond in every way...

"First of all, this property has to have some of the best views of Sta Tere. We enjoyed the design of the house, as it is quite unique. This property is perfect for three couples, though make sure you are fit as the stairs up to the property from the parking area are steep! Well worth the climb for that view however. "Property is as described. It's dated but well cared for. The caretaker is great. PLEASE note. Last few kilometers of road are not paved...we had 4x4's was fine. Closest supermarket is a 40 minute - hour drive. Beach isn't the best for swimming but totally remote and private. We loved this place. "

"We (6 old high school buddies) flew in for a fishing excursion. From the time that I booked this house for our stay to the time that we left to fly back our host was on it. Daily cleaning, inhouse chefs, golf cart rentals, transportation from and back to the airport, etc. The house was fantastic and the view was amazing! Our only complaints were that there was some interior mildew and minor moisture damage on some of the ceilings and we had an unwanted visitor (scorpion) but I think that all...

"We enjoyed staying at Casa Mango. True to it's name, there are mangos hanging off the big tree ready to eat or as we did, make mango margaritas! Josh is an excellent host and his girlfriend, Mariela, is an great cook. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast (gallo pinto/eggs), fab dinner (Arroz con Pollo) and the best pina coladas ever! The river/estuary views are every changing with the tides. Overall, it's a hidden paradise in a typical Costa Rican neighborhood."

"Es casa moderna muy bella, cómoda, con todas las comodidades que se ocupan para vacacionar en familia, nos hospedamos nuestro familia de 6 personas muy cómodamente Tiene una vista espectacular que por el diseño de la casa se aprecia todos el día el Golfo de Nicoya y parte de playa Blanca en Punta Leona. Si por ser una casa moderna no es recomendado para niños pequeños y si es importante aclarar que para visitar playa Blanca no se tiene acceso al único parqueo disponible por lo que si es mejor...
