Returning guests, beautiful location
Our 2nd time to Cabo Velas w/ a friend group of 21 (adults/children). The group was happy to return to the epic beach and location. Unfortunately there were several hiccups this week that I do feel could have been handled differently.. There was a significant outage with no water (drinking/toilet/shower), no power, no Wi-Fi (impacted just one person who had critical work) from 8:30am - 2:15pm. We were notified of the outage at 8:25am by Kitchen team (not villa staff) during breakfast that it was going to occur - so no time to fill water bottles, use toilet, etc. We would not have minded the outage but Villa staff were aware ahead of time and did not notify. We had no drinking water, toilet, etc option for that 93 degree day. Again, the last year we were here an outage like this occurred but we were notified prior so we could plan accordingly. As well, a cabin's AC unit did not work for the first half of trip. We utilized the services of the culinary team (separate service that you pay cash for groceries/cooking/etc). The ladies remembered our group and again made the trip magical w/ delicious food and kindness. We had an uncomfortable encounter with one of the Villa attendants stating they were not documented, needed to travel, and needed money as they were owed wages from the Villa. This put us in a tricky spot to know what to do.. we paid over 10,500 for trip and received a refund of 145 w/ apologies. Unfortunately a significant service miss...
