Welcome to The Skolfield Inn!
ROOM 1: This north east corner room gets plenty of morning light through its beautiful bay window (although, should you choose to sleep in, with our blackout shades you won't even know the sun has risen!). The attached private bath is extremely small, but what it lacks in space it makes up for in style. This room also comes with one off street parking spot (cannot support larger SUVs/trucks).
The space:
Built in 1895, this John Calvin Stevens' designed home still has many original features unique to the famous architect. Commissioned by John T. Skolfield, the single family home was converted to an inn and opened for business in 2019.
With just four guest rooms, our inn offers a peaceful stay, satisfying social guests or those seeking solace. Your private room is furnished with a queen sized bed, television (no cable, just smart TV with Netflix account), white noise machine, and a reading chair (or couch depending on the room).
Off street parking is available, cannot support larger SUVs/trucks, and being competent in reverse is a plus! For those with large vehicles, street parking is readily available in front of the inn from 4pm-10am for overnight guests (outside these hours are hourly restrictions). A half mile away is residential street parking which is free and has no hourly restrictions for those staying longer than a night.
Other things to note:
***WINTER PARKING: If we should have a snow storm, the day after the storm, we are required to remove all cars from the parking area so it can be properly cleaned out. From 9am through 3pm cars must be moved. Closest street parking with no time restrictions is about a half mile away so its a good time to explore the sites downtown or in our neighboring cities! The host will message through the Airbnb website/app the day of snow removal and any car left in the parking area will be charged a $100 fee***
