"This was my first solo venture following my husband's unexpected death and I chose Jim Thorpe because we've visited together in the past and I knew I would feel comfortable both in the town and in the property. "The house at High Street and Broadway was awesome! The location was ideal and the house was super cute. We could walk downtown easily, but was far enough away to have quiet in the evening. "I saw this place on Expedia and was immediately hooked.It was only for an overnight stay and we didn’t get there until after one in the morning. The decor really appealed to this and made weary travelers forget the long ride we had just completed. We had a great breakfast in the morning at the Inn down near the train station then took a ride on the train before leaving. Jim Thorpe is a lovely unique town. Would definitely stay there again"

"My family enjoyed a long weekend, taking advantage of the pond for swimming and boating, the walk to the nearby waterfall, and the fire pit for some evening smores. Major Tom was helpful and, as others noted, brought us fresh eggs and was available if anything came up. We all had a wonderful time. Minor mark down on cleanliness because there were mouse droppings on the pans kept in the lower shelves of the kitchen, as wells as a large pile of droppings--presumably more than a couple days...
