"The property was large and was a good base to use being about 20 minutes from a beach and about 10 minutes walk from a park with swings etc for the grandchildren. It was about 5 minutes drive from an Aldi and Lidl. "

"When travelling with my elderly mother who has a mobility aid, it is often difficult to find a place as comfortable as this. Everything is on one level (no steps), a walk-in shower with a shower chair, and it was warm and cosy when the weather became cold. There were gifts for us on arrival as well! Biscuits, wine... what a treat! "

"Our stay over Christmas in the beautiful Kestral cottage was superb. Jean and Amy made us feel very welcome and went 'above & beyond' to make our stay perfect. The cottage has all the amenities you could ask for and was spotlessly clean. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to spend a quiet break in County Durham. Say hi to the llamas!"

"The location is superb right on the water. The house is lovely and had everything we needed! We had a slight issue gaining access, but the host was very responsive and helpful, so it was resolved immediately. Would definitely recommend and stay again, our toddler didn't want to leave!"

"Thank you for an amazing stay. A great place with plenty of things to entertain people of all ages. The fact that it was dog friendly too was the icing on the cake. I would highly recommend. "The cottage lovely and is just what you need as a home from home. It is very clean and warm. My family enjoyed our time here. The kitchen is well stocked with cutlery and crockery and the dining room especially has beautiful lighting. At the moment the area outside the cottage is anything but restful with major renovations well underway to the railway. "Perfect location, easy check in and parking straight outside! Everything you need, spacious and comfy. Holiday Inn next door where you check in we’re so helpful and friendly- could not fault!
