It was well placed for exploring the Arenal area but be aware that the road from Nuevo Arenal is extremely pot holded and the 8 km takes 35 minutes to drive."

"The grounds and wrap around deck were wonderful. We spent most of the time on the deck. Steve was most helpful with his suggestions and knowledge of the area. The carved wood in the house was exceptional. The nights were a bit warm for us and the hill to get to the property was doable but difficult with a car. "Great location for touring the lake and waterfalls. House very spacious with views of the lake from every room. Slightly bizarre with one red floor tile throughout and all kitchen and bathroom units matching. Kitchen sink in each bedroom. Showers good but no hot water in basins. "This is a very unique house in a very quiet and peaceful location. We only visited for 1 night so we did not get to enjoy it as much as we could have. Small miscommunication with our booking but as we went on an evening tour, things were straightened out and all was well by the time we returned. This would be a very fun place for a group of friends as there was a big field to play in, tons of beds, and a big covered communal area to play games.
