This is a very nice apartment in central Viana do Castelo, an excellent location. The large apartment I was in was spacious and clean, although I wish it had a work desk and a comfortable chair.
My biggest frustration was the poor communication with the property before checking in. I didn't receive any info on how to get the keys, which you have to retrieve from a nearby underground parking garage lockbox. I contacted Expedia the day before and their bot/AI customer service was no help, as was the agent I eventually reached. It turns out they have the wrong phone number to reach someone about check-in. I persevered and by speaking to the parking lot attendent in broken Portuguese, she called Catarina from the Regina Hotel Group and we worked it out. But if I hadn't run this down I'm not sure I would have gotten in - I had prepaid too, so was worried I'd have to find another place for the week. Expedia and Regina need to fix this problem.
The full kitchen is nice and the bed was comfortable and the bedroom spacious as well.
There's a sofabed in the living room that I didn't sleep on, but it's not comfortable even for sitting. In this 600 sf apartment, there should be a proper comfy chair or two.
Overall this could be a superstar property, but it needs a few tweaks, especially if you want to attract longer-term guests (see notes about a desk and more comfortable furniture).
