Petite and fuss-free, this gorgeous wee bach offers the perfect blend of classic Kiwi holiday and beach retreat. Welcome to The Little Blue Bach!

Bright and cosy living welcomes you to settle in and make yourself right at home. Open the doors and windows in the summertime to let a cool breeze flow through, and on a winter getaway the heatpump and woodburning fireplace provide toasty warmth and ambience.

A compact, yet fully equipped kitchen ensures you can prepare delicious meals during your stay, and complimentary WiFi, a Smart TV with DVD player, a foosball table, and a tonne of games and toys are on hand to keep you connected and entertained when you’re not at the beach.

The outdoor living spaces here at The Little Blue Bach are where the summer holiday vibe really comes to life. Grab a book and your favourite drink, nestle into the egg chair or a bean bag, and feel at ease knowing the kids are playing in a fully fenced yard. Later, fire up the BBQ for an alfresco feast, before soaking in the spa pool to top off a fantastic day with a bit of stargazing.

Two bedrooms comfortably sleep up to six guests here at The Little Blue Bach. The master bedroom is fitted with a queen bed and has two single trundler beds as well, while the second bedroom has a set of bunks. A family bathroom with tub completes the setup for your stay.

There’s plenty of space to park the boat here at The Little Blue Bach, so why not bring it along and launch for a day out from the boat ramp just two minutes' drive away.

The Little Blue Bach is perfectly located just a flat, five-minute walk from the beach; you literally just turn left out the gate and stroll! You’ll also be close to fish'n'chips for the classic Kiwi holiday dinner, the dairy for an ice-cream and the milk, and the Old Beach Deli and local restaurants for a meal out. If the kids want to burn off some steam, you’re also around the corner from the playground.

Disappointing
Inadequate linen supplied but later delivered by property manager - thank you. Photos are deceptive and this cottage would benefit from some TLC. Bathroom hand basin wouldn't drain, two TV remotes not working. Curtains hanging off rails. Don't feel it is worth the charged rate. Positives, great shower, location, and section.

Good spot, but not worth the money
We paid top $ for a place that had massive holes in the back of the kitchen chairs, a fridge that rattled at odd times, and everything looked scruffy. Wouldn't have minded if we had paid half the amount we were quoted as that is what it is worth. The linen and bathroom were clean.

Property was nice, clean and warm. Master bed very comfortable and loved the fully fenced secure section. Perfect for a family and pets.

Homely little cottage
Honestly loved our stay here, so many books and games, perfect size little house for us with one toddler and a tween. Well fitted with heating and just felt so homely.

Waikanae weekend
Positives, nice bed, nice shower. Negatives, house not cleaned when we arrived at 3pm. Linen for 4 people provide. 5 staying on Monday. I contacted batchcare and they advised they would sort and call me back to confirm was sorted. Never heard from them again. Managed to borrow some linen from people we were visiting in Waikane. House looks nothing like the pictures. Clearly taken when house was renovated. Now paint peeling, ceiling with significant water damage bowing in over fireplace and lounge centre light. All that would be fine if photos were reflective but they werent. Dishes washed but left in dishwasher and not put away. Lighting poor. Overall disappointing.

Family holiday in a great location
Great property for our dogs and was truely dog and kid friendly. Close to the beach. It had everything we needed and the kids loved the spa. Only -ve was that the rubbish and recycling bins were full when we arrived.

Overpriced for what you get
Dirty and shabby- would be perfect for family with kids but not great for couples. Nice location and section and could be amazing with some improvements. But over priced for what you get compared with other Waikanae beach properties.
