"I loved loved loved this apartment. It was perfect for my husband and I to use for our most recent trip to STX. It's exactly as described and then some. The breeze when opening the doors was perfect and we didn't turn the air on once. Close enough to Christiansted (it's not in town) but far enough to be a private tranquil oasis! You will not be disappointed. Sandra was very easy to get a hold of for any questions but yet you didn't even realize she was there. Her dogs are super friendly...

"If I could move the property to a different location on the island it would be perfect. However, being only a short walk to tourist ground zero could be a bonus or minus to some. The service, accomodations, cleanliness were all great. Parking is iffy. Walking to and from the location at night is iffy. As almost anywhere- the other guests occupying rooms on premises is a roll of the dice. The place is absolutely worth a try. It is a 3-5 minute walk from the boardwalk/bars. It is very well...

"Aunque es parte de la propiedad de los dueños, es un local aparte, bien privado. Stephanie es muy agradable, me recibió al llegar y dio recomendaciones de cosas para hacer. No tuve tiempo para turismo, pero esta perfecto para descansar. Se encuentra localizado detrás de un negocio de comida pero dentro de la unidad no se escucha música ni ruidos provenientes del local Me senti segura en todo momento"

"Shannon met us at the condo at checkin and was super helpful and made our stay a great week. Dave was also a great host. The condo is a little dated but beds are super comfy, great AC, washer dryer in unit, nice view from porch and the pool was wonderful. Awesome view from pool. Downtown was 10 minute walk. Bring bug spray the mosqitos were bad early morning and late evenings on porch due to a ton of rain before we arrived. View made up for the bug bites. I would stay here again..."

"The location was perfect. I walked to restaurants, shops & the boardwalk. The apartment was good for the week. I would want something a bit different if I was staying longer. The kitchen was okay but I would not cook there. I sent out a few messages & they were answered promptly. "

"What I loved most was bc this was a quick 3 night stay from STT to STX, I couldn’t bring much on cape air, what I couldn’t bring, this lovely host surprisingly had all the essentials I needed to make my stay comfortable and had a lovely time on her home island. "Overall, the property was great! It had all we needed for our stay and it was in a safe nice gated community. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons. We never received the gate code so there was confusion upon checking in. Also, the water in the shower had poor pressure and only got somewhat warm even after running for 20 minutes or so. Otherwise, the place was very nice with great views of the island and ocean. Hoda was helpful and responsive to our messages. "

I would not think twice about booking this property again.The view at sunset is so breathtaking as well as the location provides a peaceful, secluded essence that enhanced our vacation. "

"We extended our stay by 2 nights and needed a place to stay. The Mermaid worked out fine for us (could use a new mattress) and the view was amazing! The owner was great and very easy to work with and replied to us right away. We did not enjoy the ride to get up there, but we were warned about it in the description. You do need an SUV to travel up there. Thanks for the stay!"
