"Nice place to get away from it all but yet be close enough to it all! We enjoyed the quiet of the property and the river after sightseeing during the day. Karen was very pleasant when we talked with her. Only negative is the distance from the campsite to the bathhouse. But not a deal breaker for us. "

"We were very happy with our choice of this yurt and a get away weekend into nature at this Yurt. The check in and out process was easy, they had everything available that you need within arms reach in the yurt! Even outside the yurt the firewood and wagon were super convenient. The land was beautiful and there was plenty of things to see! Would recommend!!"

"We are used to backpacking into the wilderness for adult camping but we wanted to camp with the kids and weren't sure they were quite ready for a full week of pack-in pack-out camping, plus we wanted to get out of our own tourist town. This camper was the perfect solution, and Chocolay RV Campground, where it was placed, was centrally located. "Everything was perfect. We literally only needed to pack our clothes and food. Everything else is provided. Most stress free camping I’ve ever had. "

"It was nice to be able to make a campfire right outside. Communication with the hosts was easy and courteous, they were willing to help with any issues we had. "

"My boyfriend and I LOVED this property! It’s gorgeous, spacious, and private. I found the hanging tent incredibly comfortable! Bathroom was clean and actually smelled very nice! Owner was kind enough to share a list of local attractions! We loved exploring the area and especially enjoyed Rosy Mound. If you want to go pack light and prepare for a long hike with steps! Totally worth it for the amazing view and less crowded beach! 10/10 would recommend this spot for a nice private camping trip"

"We really enjoyed the camping spot at the property. for a place that was basic camping, not having electric hookup it was kept very nice and had a beautiful showerhouse/ bathroom to use. We had a great time using it as a home base as we went on our fishing excursions. The host was wonderful. I would highly recommend it and we will be booking again in the future for sure!"

"Our family getaway to Russell’s Roost truly could not have been a better experience. The camper was clean and had all that we needed. The host went out of his way to personally escort us to the boat launch, get kayaks ready for the kids to use, and set out outdoor yard games for our family. He even sold us wood onsite and helped us put the bed down in the camper (we were first time camper users!). Fantastic experience, we look forward to booking again next summer!"

"Beautiful view! I needed a place inexpensive and close to family. This was perfect. I think the place may have been closed up for a while. Many spiderwebs and spiders I just took care of those myself. Very nice RV. Had a great time."

"This was the best two nights of sleep we both have had in a long time. We came to relax and unplug from the crazy everyday life and that is exactly what we did. The accommodations were exactly what we expected and much more we will definitely be back. The property owners were so helpful and always asking if everything was ok? They definitely take pride in their property and it shows."
